Emily Anderspoon

I am a multimedia artist based out of the mountains of southwest Montana. In all my work, I aim to infuse a fresh perspective with a hint of the fantastic. I ride waves of inspiration and obsession in both subject matter and method, and have dabbled in everything from resin painting, to screenprinting, to metalworking. I live my wild and adventurous life in constant pursuit of the next challenge.

Ander… spoon?

My origin story was born of a typo in the spelling of my last name when I was a kid, and was bolstered by the metal spoon I welded to the hood of my car as a teen. Try though I did to shake the nickname when I got older, it begrudgingly evolved into a reminder to take myself less seriously as life got more serious. Incorporating it into my personal brand is my challenge to myself - to be the highest-achieving, hardest-working, most professionally eclectic Spoon I can be.
